Saatva is one of the most popular and successful online mattress brands, and they offer many types of luxury mattresses. Saatva Latex Hybrid Mattress Firmness And Feel
No matter what kind of mattress you’re looking for, it’s critical to consider firmness and feel. These factors will tell you a lot about whether a particular mattress is ideally suited to your preferred sleep position and other sleep needs. So let’s take a close look at the firmness and feel on the Saatva Latex Hybrid!
How Firm Is The Saatva Latex Hybrid?
We ranked the Saatva Latex Hybrid around a 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for medium firmness is 6.5/10, so this suggests the mattress is just a touch firmer than medium-firm.
That said, note that firmness is a bit subjective. Different people might perceive this bed’s firmness differently depending on their body type and weight.
Sleeping On The Saatva Latex Hybrid
We felt great while back sleeping on the Saatva Latex Hybrid. Our hips remained elevated and aligned with the spine. However, note that back sleepers who prefer more pressure relief might find that the mattress feels too firm in this position.
Because the Saatva Latex Hybrid is on the firmer side, we were surprised to experience decent pressure relief while side sleeping. However, folks who spend all night in this position might find that the mattress starts to feel too firm.
The Saatva Latex Hybrid’s supportive nature helped us feel well-supported while stomach sleeping. Our hips stayed elevated and aligned with the spine.
What Does The Saatva Latex Hybrid Mattress Feel Like?
The Saata Latex Hybrid has a latex feel on top, which means that it’s buoyant, supportive, and just a touch pressure relieving. This is a bouncy and responsive bed, and it’s easy to move around on top of the mattress.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130 lbs – 230 lbs
Average-weight sleepers who weigh 200 pounds or more should enjoy plenty of support while back sleeping and decent pressure relief while side sleeping. Folks who are on the lighter end of the weight spectrum might find that the Saatva Latex Hybrid feels too firm while back and/or side sleeping. The supportive nature of this mattress should make it a good fit for average-weight stomach sleepers.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230 lbs
The Saatva Latex Hybrid should be a good match for most heavyweight back sleepers thanks to its firm support. (Note that folks who weigh more than 300 pounds might want to look for a more supportive mattress for heavy people.) Heavyweight side sleepers should enjoy adequate pressure relief on this mattress. Stomach sleepers who weigh closer to 230 pounds will probably find the support they need, but folks who are significantly heavier than that might need a firmer and more supportive mattress overall.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130 lbs
Lightweight back and side sleepers are likely to find that the Saatva Latex Hybrid feels too firm in these positions. This mattress could be a good fit for lightweight stomach sleepers, as it should promote healthy spinal alignment by keeping the hips elevated and aligned with the spine. If you need a mattress for your kid, definitely consider the Saatva Youth mattress.

Saatva Latex Hybrid Vs. Zenhaven
The Zenhaven is Saatva’s all-latex mattress, and it features multiple layers of Talalay latex. Unlike the Saatva Latex Hybrid, there are no coils in its construction. Also, it is flippable and offers two firmnesses in one mattress – one side is firmer than the other, giving sleepers multiple options. This is not the case with the Saatva Latex Hybrid, and it can also be placed on the bed one way.
These are both going to be extremely durable mattresses, but the Zenhaven might just beat the Saatva Latex Hybrid. Being an all-latex mattress, there are no materials that will sag quickly. The Saatva Latex Hybrid is also going to last for a number of years, but the coils might start to weaken over time.
However, with its extra latex, the Zenhaven mattress is going to cost more than the Saatva Latex Hybrid. At full price, it costs approximately $600 more for a Queen-size mattress.
Who Should Get The Saatva Latex Hybrid?
- Those who want to spend less on their latex mattress
- Anyone who likes coils in their mattress
Who Should Get The Zenhaven?
- People who don’t want coils in their mattress
- Those who want multiple firmness options
- Shoppers who are looking for a more durable mattress
