Tempur-Pedic essentially created the memory foam category of mattresses and is responsible for its current popularity. Lull is a new company with a memory foam mattress that sells online-only. As Lull has gained in popularity, people are starting to wonder what the differences are between the mattress and the various models of Tempur-Pedic. Main Construction/Feel Difference
Tempur-Pedic does not disclose the specs of its mattresses, so it’s hard to make a direct comparison of the materials, but I’ll try to highlight some differences. One difference is that the memory foam used in the lull is faster to respond than the memory foam used in the Tempur-Pedic models. That means if people move around, the foam will go back to its original shape pretty quickly. It makes it easier to move around and potentially is better for sex as well. However, this is really just a personal preference thing and some people will like the slower-moving foam better.
The Lull uses gel-infused memory foam to address the issue of sleeping cool, and its memory foam has a more open celled structure. In my experience, the mattress did sleep cool. With Tempur-Pedic, to get similar features people would have to get a Breeze version, which costs an additional $1,000.

- You Want More Value– People can probably get more value from Lull just based on the fact that they sell online-only and don’t have the costs/markups associated with Tempur-Pedic’s business model
- You Want Middle-Of-The-Road Firmness– If you want something that’s not too soft nor too firm, the Lull is a good choice. It should be good for people who aren’t overly heavy or lightweight.

Price/Value
The two companies have very different business models. Lull sells online-only, so it’s able to price its product much lower than any of the Tempur-Pedic models. Therefore, you can probably get a little more value out of the Lull than you can with Tempur-Pedic.
Motion Isolation
Both mattresses are great options for couples because they both isolate motion really well. I can’t say one is better than the other because they both really excel here.
Overall
Both are really good choices with just a few differences. If you want slower-moving memory foam and have the budget for it, Tempur-Pedic may be the way to go. If you want more responsive memory foam and are on more of a budget, then perhaps Lull is the best choice.
