The Lull and Nectar mattresses are quite similar, but they have a few distinct differences. Let’s look at both:

As we just mentioned, two of the main differences between the Lull mattress and Nectar mattress has to do with their firmness and feel. Let’s go into greater detail regarding their firmness and feel and how it feels to lie on the Lull and Nectar mattresses.
How Firm Are the Lull and Nectar Mattresses?
In our experience, the Lull mattress felt like an 8/10, firmer-than-average – while it features soft foams on top, the comfort layer really isn’t that thick, and many sleepers should be feeling the firmer support layers.
To us, the Nectar mattress felt like a 6.5/10, just about medium in terms of firmness – the comfort layer is thicker on the Nectar, so we are feeling more of the soft layers on top without hitting the support layers so much.
Sleeping On the Lull and Nectar Mattresses
Back sleeping on the Lull mattress, we are experiencing an excellent amount of support from the base layer, and the top layers are letting our hips sink in just the right amount. Side sleeping, we are feeling a significant amount of pressure on our shoulders and hips as we are driving into the support layer. While the Lull is a firmer mattress, we are not getting the best support when stomach sleeping – our hips are bowing into the top foam layers, and we are feeling some lower back strain.
When we are back sleeping on the Nectar mattress, we are feeling an exceptional balance of comfort and support; our hips sink into the top layers just a bit while the memory foam conforms to our body. Side sleeping, we sink into the memory foam and feel almost no pressure on our shoulders and hips, and we feel generally comfortable. Stomach sleeping, the Nectar is definitely not giving us the requisite amount of support, and we need a firmer, more supportive mattress overall.

What Do the Lull and Nectar Mattresses Feel Like?
The Lull mattress exhibits a balanced foam feel that is particularly responsive. The top layer of memory foam is slow-moving but, when paired with the more responsive transition layer, the mattress is bouncier; this makes it very easy to move around on the Lull mattress without getting stuck.
The Nectar mattress has more of that slow-moving feel we all expect from memory foam; lying on the Nectar, we slowly sink into the mattress and feel it conforms to the curves of our bodies.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130 lbs – 230 lbs
Back sleeping, average weight sleepers should find both the Lull and Nectar mattresses to be a good fit. They should get the balance of comfort and support that back sleeping really requires.
Side sleeping, average weight people who are closer to 130 lbs might find that both mattresses offer similar pressure relief. That being said, those who are over 160 lbs and moving closer to 230 lbs should get better pressure relief on the Nectar mattress.
Stomach sleeping, average weight sleepers who aren’t over 160 lbs should get the support they require on the Lull mattress. The majority of average stomach sleepers should think the Nectar mattress is too soft for stomach sleeping.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230 lbs
Heavyweight back sleepers should get better support from the Lull mattress, and they could think the Nectar is too soft for them in this position. That being said, larger back sleepers who are closer to 300 lbs might not get enough support on either mattress and might want to find a more supportive innerspring or hybrid mattress.
Side sleeping, most heavyweight people should experience better pressure relief on the Nectar mattress. However, they could still feel some pressure on their shoulders and hips and might need a mattress with a thicker comfort layer.

Sleeping Hot or Cold
In terms of cooling, the Lull and Nectar mattresses are quite similar; they are both all-foam mattresses so there is no real room for airflow. However, while memory foam is known for trapping heat, this shouldn’t be as much of an issue with the Lull and Nectar mattresses – they both feature breathable covers and gel-infusion for cooling.
We did not sleep extremely hot on either mattress but those who have issues with sleeping hot might want to find a mattress with better airflow and more cooling materials near the top.
Motion Transfer
Those who need the best mattress for couples usually want to find something with memory foam on top because it is known for cutting down on motion transfer, ensuring that sleeping partners don’t disturb each other when they move around at night.
While both mattresses feature memory foam, the Nectar has a thicker layer right on top – because of this, it isolates motion better than the Lull.
Edge Support
Edge support is also something that couples should consider because it can allow each partner to get the most space to sleep. We experienced pretty similar edge support on both mattresses, but the Lull feels just a bit more supportive when we are lying near the edge.
Durability
These are both all-foam mattresses that feature similar materials, so it is hard to say which will last longer than the other. We can say that both feature high-density foams and should for at least seven to 10 years. If we had to choose between the two in terms of durability, we would choose the Nectar mattress as it is a bit thicker and more substantial.
Off-gassing
The Lull and Nectar are both online mattresses that are shipped and delivered in a box – opening up each mattress, we did smell some initial off-gassing, but this is totally normal for all-foam bed in a box mattresses. We left both mattresses in a well-ventilated room for 48 hours, and the smell completely went away.
Noise
Given that these are both all-foam mattresses, we did not hear and significant noise when we moved around and repositioned at night.
Sex
Those who need a mattress for sex are usually better off with something bouncier and more responsive. The Lull is definitely the more responsive mattress of the two and should be the better option for sexual partners.
