The SweetNight Twilight is a hybrid mattress that combines the qualities of a memory foam mattress and an innerspring bed. It layers gel memory foam over tempered steel coils to create a responsive sleep surface.
The mattress is sold by the Sweet Night brand, which manufactures and ships its products from its own factories. (The bed is also available on Amazon.) All of the brand’s products use CertiPUR-US certified memory foams, which are more eco-friendly than conventional foams and are low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

SweetNight Twilight Mattress Firmness And Feel
To get to know the SweetNight Twilight better, let’s start by taking a close look at its firmness and feel. These factors will tell you a lot about whether this mattress is suited to your sleep position(s) and other sleep preferences.
How Firm Is The SweetNight?
We ranked the 10” version of the SweetNight Twilight around 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for average firmness is 6.5/10, so this suggests the SweetNight mattress is firmer than average. It layers high-density foams over steel-tempered coils, so it’s not designed to offer a ton of plushness or pressure relief.
Note that firmness is slightly subjective. Your body weight and personal preferences might mean that you rank this bed a bit firmer or softer. Additionally, note that the 12” model of this mattress might feel softer than the 10″ version.
Sleeping On The SweetNight
We felt good while back sleeping on the SweetNight Twilight. Our spine stayed supported, and our hips and spine stayed aligned. However, lightweight sleepers might not feel as comfortable in this position as the mattress might feel too firm.
In our experience, the SweetNight Twilight is much too firm for side sleeping. We felt uncomfortable pressure around the shoulder and hip.
Thanks to its firm nature, the SweetNight Twilight proved to be a good match for stomach sleeping. Our hips stayed elevated and aligned with the spine.
What Does The SweetNight Feel Like?
The SweetNight Twilight mattress has a bouncy and responsive hybrid feel. It has a bit of a pillow-top on top, but sleepers quickly press into the firmer layers beneath.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Back sleepers who weigh close to 230 pounds should enjoy the supportive feel of the SweetNight Twilight, while back sleepers who weigh less than that will probably find that the mattress feels too firm. This mattress is certainly too firm for average-weight side sleepers. Average-weight stomach sleepers should enjoy nice spinal support.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Heavyweight back sleepers who weigh less than 280 pounds should enjoy good spinal support on the SweetNight mattress, while folks who weigh more than that might require a mattress for heavy people. Heavyweight side sleepers will almost certainly find that this mattress feels too firm. Heavyweight stomach sleepers who weigh less than 280 pounds should obtain adequate support; folks who weigh more than that will need a more supportive mattress overall.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
Lightweight back and side sleepers will almost certainly find that the SweetNight Twilight feels too firm. Lightweight stomach sleepers might enjoy the firm, supportive feel of this bed.

The SweetNight Twilight features a cover made with knit fabric and tufted with foam to create a pillow-top feel right off the bat.
Comfort Layers
The primary comfort layer on the SweetNight mattress is made from a material that the brand calls Air-flow high-density foam. This foam is fairly bouncy and responsive. Beneath that, there’s a layer of gel memory foam, which offers some pressure relief. Meanwhile, the gel infusion helps dissipate heat. Because this is a gel memory foam mattress instead of a conventional memory foam mattress, it should be more breathable.
Support Layer
Because this is a hybrid mattress, it probably won’t surprise you to learn that the main support layer on the SweetNight Twilight is composed of pocketed coils—independently wrapped, steel-tempered coils, to be exact. This layer contributes to the bed’s supportive and responsive feel.

We ran the SweetNight Twilight through a range of tests to assess its performance with everything from temperature regulation to off-gassing and edge support. Let’s see how it did!
Sleeping Hot Or Cold
The SweetNight Twilight mattress boasts several design features that should help sleepers stay cool. It uses a breathable cover and breathable, gel-infused foams, and the coils allow for plenty of airflow throughout the center of the mattress.
Hybrids are usually pretty good cooling mattresses, and the SweetNight is no exception.
Motion Transfer
This mattress does not perform particularly well when it comes to motion isolation. Because it’s bouncy and responsive, it doesn’t absorb movement well. This means partners might feel each other’s movements transfer across the surface of the bed. Keep this in mind if you’re searching for a mattress for couples.
Edge Support
In our experience, the SweetNight Twilight features some solid edge support. The mattress did not collapse too much when we were sitting and lying down near the edge. If you sleep with a partner or like sleeping toward the edge of the mattress, the SweetNight could be a good option.
Durability
Because this is a value mattress, it’s not the most durable bed around. With proper care, expect this mattress to last for around 5 to 7 years.
Off-Gassing
We did observe some initial off-gassing from this mattress. This is completely normal for a bed in a box mattress, and the smell should dissipate within a few days.
Noise
At the time of our review, we didn’t observe any notable noise while moving around on the SweetNight Twilight. That said, because this mattress incorporates coils, it’s possible it could start to squeak a bit over time.
Sex
Because the SweetNight Twilight is a responsive mattress, it should be a great mattress for sex. Partners shouldn’t feel stuck in this bed, and it should be easy to change positions.

SweetNight Vs. Nectar
The Nectar mattress is an all-foam option that features thick memory foam right on top. The main construction difference between the Nectar and SweetNight can be found in the support layer. The SweetNight features coils while the Nectar features a high-density base foam. In addition, you simply get more foam right on top of the Nectar mattress.
Because of this, the mattresses do have a different feel. The SweetNight has a responsive hybrid feel, and the Nectar features more of that classic memory foam feel. When you lie down on the Nectar, you should feel like you are slowly sinking in. The SweetNight is bouncier, so you should feel like you are sleeping on top.
The SweetNight Twilight is also firmer than the Nectar mattress. Again, we are talking about the 10″ model, so the 12″ model could be softer and closer to Nectar’s medium firmness.
Lastly, the SweetNight does cost less than the Nectar mattress.
