We felt great while back sleeping on the GravityLux. We enjoyed plenty of spinal support from the firmer layers, and our hips felt aligned with the spine.
Because this mattress is firmer, it’s probably not surprising that we experienced notable pressure while side sleeping. People who prefer this position should consider a dedicated mattress for side sleeping.
The firm feel of the GravityLux is good news for stomach sleepers: We found this bed to be a supportive match for this position, and our hips stayed aligned with the spine.
What Does The WinkBeds GravityLux Feel Like?
Overall, the GravityLux creates a balanced foam feel. It has a bit of the slow-moving feel of memory foam on top, but it’s fairly responsive overall. Sleepers shouldn’t feel stuck in this mattress.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Average-weight back sleepers should enjoy a balance of comfort and support on the Medium model of the GravityLux. Average-weight side sleepers will probably find that the Medium model feels too firm, but they should obtain adequate pressure relief on the Soft model. Average-weight stomach sleepers should receive adequate support on the Medium model, but folks who require more support should opt for the Firm model.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Back sleepers who weigh less than 300 pounds should find that the GravityLux is a good fit, while people who weigh more than 300 pounds might prefer a mattress for heavy people, such as the WinkBeds Plus. The Medium model of the GravityLux is almost certainly too firm for heavyweight side sleepers, who should enjoy more pressure relief on the Soft model. The Medium version might not be supportive enough for heavyweight stomach sleepers, who should probably opt for the Firm model or the WinkBeds Plus.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs

The GravityLux comes with a Tencel cover that’s quilted with gel-infused foam to create a pillow-top. The Tencel and the gel infusion both help the surface of this mattress sleep cool.
Comfort Layers
The main comfort layer on the GravityLux consists of a proprietary AirCell memory foam. This material is breathable and is designed to offer pressure relief along with responsiveness. Beneath the Aircell memory foam, there’s a layer of zoned Progression foam that is firmer in some areas (to offer additional support) and softer in others (for added pressure relief).

The support layer on the GravityLux is made of Atlas Core Foam, a supportive and durable material that’s designed to fight sagging.

Sleeping Hot Or Cold
The GravityLux is an all-foam mattress, and all-foam mattresses are often known for sleeping hot. That said, this mattress boasts a few features to help it sleep cooler, including the breathable cover and gel infusion. While it might still trap some heat, the GravityLux should sleep cooler than more conventional all-foam beds.
Motion Transfer
The all-foam construction on the GravityLux enables this mattress to handle motion transfer quite well. The memory foam comfort layer does a great job of minimizing disturbances across the bed’s surface. This should be a great mattress for couples.

Even though this is an all-foam mattress, we found the edge support on the GravityLux to be excellent. We felt secure while sitting and lying down near the edges of this mattress.

Off-Gassing
We did observe a bit of off-gassing from the GravityLux. This should dissipate within a few days. The GravityLux is made with CertiPUR-US certified foams, which means it doesn’t contain ozone depleters, formaldehyde, or phthalates.
Noise
We didn’t observe any notable noise from this mattress while moving around on top of it. The all-foam construction means this mattress should stay noise-free over the long-term.

A good mattress for sex makes it easy for partners to change positions. While the GravityLux isn’t the most responsive bed around, it should offer enough bounce so sexual partners don’t feel stuck.
