How Firm is the EcoSleep Luxe Mattress?
The EcoSleep Luxe Mattress has a flippable topper, and each side has its own firmness level. At Mattress Clarity, we rank mattresses on a scale of 1-10, with 6.5 being average or medium-firm. The softest side is a 6/10 while the firmer side is a 7/10. With two sides, you can choose which one works best for you.
However, the firmness scale can differ from person to person. Heavier folks might find the mattress softer as they press through the layers, while lighter folks might think this mattress feels firmer.

Sleeping On The EcoSleep Luxe Mattress
Because the EcoSleep Luxe has two firmness options, it’s good for a variety of sleeping positions. Back sleepers should find both the soft and firm sides help promote the proper spinal alignment. The comfort layer also conforms to the shape of your body when back sleeping, which creates nice pressure relief.
Side sleepers will also have a great experience on the soft side of the EcoSleep Luxe mattress. However, the firm side won’t work for side sleepers because they might press through the comfort layer and feel some pain around their hips and shoulders.
Conversely, stomach sleepers will find the soft side is not ideal. Stomach sleepers probably won’t experience proper spinal alignment on the soft side. The firm side should work well for many stomach sleepers.
What Does the EcoSleep Luxe Mattress Feel Like?
The EcoSleep Luxe has a classic innerspring feel. The top layer is responsive and easy to move around on. The coils underneath add some extra bounce. However, this mattress is still very supportive and will work well for many sleepers because it has a soft and firm side.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Average weight back sleepers will love the EcoSleep Luxe. Both sides should promote the correct spinal alignment and provide excellent lumbar support. However, those who are closer to 230lbs should try the firm side as it will better ensure their hips won’t sink into the mattress.
Average weight side sleepers will prefer the softer side and find great pressure relief. Their hips and shoulders will stay in alignment on the softer side, though the firmer side may not provide the support they need. Conversely, stomach sleepers won’t find the support they need on the soft side, but their hips should stay in the correct alignment on the firmer side.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Heavyweight back sleepers should find the firm side of this mattress to be a dream. It offers them a great balance of support and comfort. However, heavier side sleepers will prefer the softer side, though some extremely heavyweight sleepers might press through the comfort layer too much.
Heavyweight stomach sleepers will not find great spinal alignment on this soft side of the mattress, but most should find decent support on the firmer side.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs
Most lightweight sleepers will find a good night’s sleep on this mattress. Lightweight back sleepers should feel supported the entire night on either side. Side sleepers will also find great relief around the pressure points on the softer side. In this sleep position, they should feel excellent body contouring and support. Stomach sleepers who are lightweight should find great support on the firmer side.
