The Linenspa Might Work For …
- People who need a cold-weather comforter. Considering its lighter weight, I didn’t expect this comforter to be super insulating, however, after trying it out for many cold nights, I found this comforter kept me very warm. For those who need something for those colder months, the Linenspa should be a good option.
- Those who want a comforter that can also act as a duvet insert. People you want to use the Linenspa as a basic comforter can use it right out of the bag but, if they prefer a duvet on their bed, this comforter can easily be placed within a duvet cover. The comforter features eight tabs around its outer edge, allowing the Linenspa to be secured firmly within a duvet cover.
- People who struggle with allergies. I deal with allergies, so one of the major issues I have with down comforters is the way they cause my eyes to water and also provoke congestion. I had no such issues with the Linenspa because it has a hypoallergenic synthetic fill that doesn’t trap pollen and dust mites like a down comforter might.

The Linenspa Might Not Work For …
- Hot sleepers. While this comforter is advertised as an all-season comforter, I would say it is most likely too warm for the spring and summer months. For those who are prone to overheating while you sleep, the Linenspa is probably not the best choice. I felt stuffy and sweaty under the comforter, especially on nights that weren’t very cold.
- Those who want a soft, stand-alone comforter. This comforter is ready to go when it comes out of the package, but it does have a rougher outer shell and may feel uncomfortable against the skin. For this reason, some people may find it functions best as a duvet insert.
- Those who prefer a lofty comforter. People who like a fluffy comforter with great loft might not feel like the Linenspa meets your needs. The synthetic microfill does not have much body, and the comforter could feel thin. Those who want more loft should consider a down comforter or a heavier down alternative comforter.

The Linenspa doesn’t have the most body so, when it’s lying on my bed, it has a thin profile and doesn’t have a great amount of loft.
This is most likely due to the fact that it is a down alternative comforter with a sewn-through design, so those want something with more loft should consider a comforter with a baffle box design or high fill power down.
Linenspa Warmth And Breathability
Considering this is a lighter, all-season comforter, the Linenspa really provides a lot of warmth. While lying under it on colder nights, I was surprised by how well insulated the Linenspa was.
At the same time, the comforter has some issues with breathability and, Even on colder nights, I felt clammy and sweaty when I had been under the Linenspa for a while. It does not allow for much airflow, so I did overheat sometimes.
Washing
Unlike down comforters, down alternative comforters can be washed at home. Here are Linenspa’s directions for how to wash this comforter:
