How We Tested It
Before I get too far into this review, I should mention that the Leachco Snoogle, while just a standard body pillow, is marketed as a good option for people on the hunt for a full body pregnancy pillow. I tested the Leachco Snoogle out myself, but Emylee Barjuca, a Mattress Clarity team member, was pregnant at the time we tested it out!
So, this review will encompass my experience with the Leachco as a standard body pillow. But I’ll also reference Emylee’s experience with this pillow while pregnant. Emylee’s opinion should give pregnant individuals a good idea on whether or not this is the pregnancy pillow for them.

So, what is the Leachco Snoogle pillow made out of and how does this impact the feel of the pillow? Let’s find out.
Cover
Leachco offers four different material types for the Snoogle’s removable cover:
- Supreme – 100% cotton that has a thread count of 300
- Organic – 100% organic cotton
- Plush – 100% polyester/cotton-blend jersey
- Chic – a cotton polyester blend, but the defining trait here is that Leachco offers this in print patterns.
All of these covers come in many different colors and designs for a good amount of variety. For this review, we received a pillow with the Plush cover. It feels very soft and with the addition of cotton, it should be fairly breathable, too.
You also have the option to purchase additional covers should you want to change them out regularly.
Core
On the inside, you’ll find a 100% polyester fiber fill. This feels rather fluffy and responsive, but still very supportive.
Leachco Snoogle Firmness & Feel
The Leachco Snoogle pillow is packed full of its down alternative fill, but it comes in as a solid medium-firm body pillow. It’s not super soft, but not overly firm either. The down alternative does a good job of providing some plush comfort while still being firm enough to provide good body support.
And thanks to its unique C-shape, it can wrap around your entire body for belly and back support. It’s a great pregnancy pillow option for pregnant individuals looking for a total body pillow.

- It does a great job of keeping your back, neck, and head in a neutral alignment, and could help reduce lower back pain
- It’s very versatile and can be used in many different configurations to match your sleeping position needs
Cons
- It’s rather large and can take up a lot of room
- Taking off and putting back on the outer cover could be difficult
- It has a rather a tall loft, coming in at 7” tall, which could crane your neck too far up depending on how broad or narrow your shoulders are

When To Begin Using the Leachco Snoogle Body Pillow While Pregnant
There are many different ways to use the Leachco Snoogle. And because it can be used as just a body pillow, pregnant individuals can use this at any point during their pregnancy.
For those in the first trimester, if you’re a back or stomach sleeper, using the Leachco could be a good option to use to help train yourself to sleep on your side.
But for individuals who are naturally side sleepers, based on Emylee’s experience, using this anywhere from your second to third trimester would be best if you’re looking for a belly support pillow to use while pregnant.

Cleaning and Care for the Leachco Snoogle
The removable pillow cover is completely machine-washable. Once every now and then, or when the pillow gets dirty, just remove the cover and wash. Here’s what Leachco recommends:
- Wash on a gentle cycle with warm water, using non-chlorine bleach as needed or depending on the color of your cover
- Tumble dry on the lowest heat setting
The inner pillow, however, is recommended to be spot cleaned only. This is because the pillow is rather large and could either become damaged in the wash, or damage your machine. To do this, just mix some warm water with soap and use a washcloth to remove stains when they pop up.

Personal Experience
Let’s start off with my personal experience with the Leachco Snoogle. As a natural side sleeper, I fitted the Leachco around my shoulder, and had the pillow follow my back, and tucked the end in between my knees. Left or right side, it didn’t matter, this pillow felt fantastic. I really felt some good back support, and if you’re someone who wants to toss and turn less during the night, this is a great option. It’s a bit of a hassle to change positions with this pillow, so you’ll stay put.
There are many different ways to use this pillow, and there are different ways for back sleepers and stomach sleepers to use this pillow. But if you’re just looking for a body pillow, I’d stick with side sleeping.

And, as a hot sleeper, I didn’t find that this pillow trapped too much heat. The pillowcase is soft and smooth, and very breathable. And if you do get hot, you can always adjust the pillow to a different shape.
Emylee’s Experience
When Emylee tested out the Leachco Snoogle, she was in her second trimester. Before finding out she was pregnant, Emylee was a natural back sleeper. As individuals move further into their pregnancy, experts recommend changing to sleeping on your side.
Emylee tested the Leachco in a variety of configurations, but she favored using the pillow on her side, following her back. She found that it provided great back and neck support, and didn’t think the loft of the pillow would cause neck pain to develop. But as a back sleeper, she found that this pillow helped her from rolling on to her back while using it.
She also tested the pillow against her belly. She found some great belly support here as well. And because you can shape this pillow into a donut shape, Emylee found resting on her stomach to be quite comfortable as well. However, she only recommended resting in this position for about 15-20 minutes to help relieve some lower back pain.
6 Ways to Use the Snoogle
Overall
At the end of the day, the Leachco Snoogle body pillow is a fantastic choice for just about anyone to use, pregnant or not. And pregnant individuals should find better sleep given the exceptional support this pillow can provide.
Personally, I liked using this pillow to snuggle while I rested on my side. The full body support was unlike any other body pillow I’d experienced. And that C-shape to the pillow really makes it stand out as one of the best body pillows!
